I blame Rodwell as much for that, absolutely leathered it towards Distin.  Distin was possible MOTM before that!  WTF.

Oh well, at least Baines is still ace.

I think the dustbin nickname may be gathering pace. Maybe Rodcock too, or clumpville.

Its hard not to feel we've thrown a huge advantage away, even though we should still be happy with performance and the win. If we'd come back to win 2-1 we would have been a lot more positive, but we had it in the bag, ready to leave the scene and decided to stop for a wank.

It's such a big pity.
We had a nice two goal cushion, against a not great Sporting.
A nice advantage to take to Lisbon, but I was dreading the last minutes, because they somehow always manage to score a goal, mostly against the odds as well.
This time they got no credit for the goal, we gifted it them.

We can only hope we'll score next week, and there's no reason why not.
Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)

I was in work so missed the match. Heard we'd won 2-1, and whilst a clean sheet would have been nice we still have a slender advantage.

How did we play anyway? Was it a red card for Distin?

Yeah he was the last man, stupid penalty.  Before that we played well.  Patchy but some great play mixed between too much long ball at times (mainly Neville).

Ya Distin got the red. I am happy we at least got the win. Sets us up relatively well. One goal there and we are fine IMO
Are we there yet?

Osman comfortably MOTM.  Plus I reckon he won more headers today than the rest of the season, he'll have a sore head tomorrow

Rodwell's fault for the pen, completely. He made a similar pass against Chelsea which nearly put Drogba in, if it weren't for Distin's good recovery. Rodwell is far too flashy at times for me, too casual.

ffs, why do we aleays do this? That goal was coming for the last 20 mins. We always sit back
Murray won't ever win a slam. Mentally not good enough
