We don't normally create loads for Rom. His chance conversion rate must be very high.

Is it time to start talking about a name for Lukaku-Kone?

Although saying it like that sounds a bit Japanese Samurai..

Lukone or Konaku?

It can be painful watching Naisy trying to execute basic technique.

Delighted to be proven wrong about the lack of width. Intelligent movement by both the forwards more than made up for that.

Still need to find more solutions in home games, but that was very encouraging as a blueprint for our away games.

Particularly made up with Barkley. You could see the blossoming signs in pre-season, and he's really taken that forward into the competitive games. His potential is scary.

I'd say it was more fluid than the standard 4-2-3-1.

We seemed to start off with a pure diamond and with two up front but then asked Kone to cover their full back going forward.

I think it turned into the sort of "melted" (Rodgers would love this) 4-3-3 that we saw away at Newcastle in 13/14 where basically Cleverley was asked to cover a lot of ground to allow Lukaku, Kone and Barkley to sort out between them who could stay higher up the pitch for counter attacks/cover their full backs.

Cleverley ended up on the right for much of the 2nd half for example.

So did we invent the False 7?
