First half we were 2nd best. We even struggled at times to get the ball forward or even slow them down. Second half we were a much better side and controlled the game.

Hope I don't get lynched for telling the truth.

There'll be no lynching in these here parts pardner. The Guardian match report says Everton were the better team overall despite them hitting the post twice. Nice to hear constructive criticism though. No blue tinted specs allowed. Go Leafs!

Thought Shelvey actually played quite well for large parts of the game. Merino for them looks a really good player
Farhad Moshiri, Alisher Usmanov, Cenk Tosun, Muhamed Besic, Imam Jagne, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Barack Hussein Obama, Confucius... Everton Muslims growing stronger...

Ran past my sitting room window at one stage

Good thing he wasn't wearing tights.

Murphy on match of the day with his underhand sly comments against Gana who got sliced down by Shelvey. That fella gets on my nerves when he's commenting about us.
As Tacitus said: "To plunder, butcher, steal, these things they misname empire: they make a desolation and they call it peace."

Made up with that win.

Solid 1-0 away from home, something I haven't seen for a good few years.

Allardyce isn't the man we might want, but he's certainly the man we need at the moment.

Not once did I think we were conceding in that game. Did Pickford even make a save?

Rooney again was brilliant. His goal was a tap in, but soon as Lennon heads the ball he's anticipating the opportunity.

Holgate needs a special mention tonight. An absolute monster in the air and that composure and quality on the ball means we can control games a lot better. Williams was boss as well, so was Martina, and Kenny goes without saying.

Made up to finally see an organised Everton team that has a clear game plan.

We might not like that game plan, but its getting us results .

Onwards and upwards from here.

Someone put the question out there of "what more do we want?" So I answered. Then you jumped all over... Not really having a moan. We were 2nd best in the first half and, as I've said many times already, much better in the second.

Go have a pint.
I asked "what more do we want " only a fool would think that I am happy with the performance ,obviously it was in light of recent form and results .That and the fact that Big Sam and little sam are in our dugout ,something try as I might ,I cannot yet get to grips with.

What would you do if you came home and found Alex Young in bed with your wife?
Cover him up so he won't get cold!

Well done Everton, an away victory plus a bonus clean sheet, our defence seems to have turned a real corner.

Everton are making a good habit of winning on my birthday - just like last year's game vs. Arsenal!  :)

i hope they keep this tradition up next Monday when it's mine. Street End, here I come!
Well there may be no score, but there's certainly no lack of excitement here. As you can see, Nietzsche has just been booked for arguing with the referee. He accused Confucius of having no free will, and Confucius he say, "Name go in book". And this is Nietzsche's third booking in four games.

Ha ha  I would have loved to see that!

Ah fuck, " I think Everton should be made an example of with an instant points deduction, we can not have opposition managers moonwalking past opposing teams dressing rooms full stop ". Said a sky spokesman last night and a BBC spokesperson also added this could be classed as inflammatory to most losing teams. Both Jamie and Danny were unavailable for further comment today, but Gary Neville was quoted as saying "we do not want this kind of disgraceful behaviour spreading to other teams outside dressing rooms throughout the premier league".

Completely irrelevant statement

Care to elaborate? Just pointing it's been a stinker of a calendar year away from home.

love our time wasting, i know its tedious, but its so funny.. the amount of times pickford delays getting rid of the ball..
Davies pretending to take throw ins then walking off and leaving it for someone else..

but the best is Kenny.. made me laugh so many times.. best part was on the mid way line... he had the ball.. i think he was walking with it then left it behind on the half way line, as he went over to the bi line,., the newcastle player ran over and kicked it at Kennys shins.. it rebounded off to Sam, while Kenny waved his arms about at the ref due to the newcastle player kicking the ball away..

it does piss me off tho, especially when its 0-0.. no need to waste time then!!

You realise we won and done enough to get the job done, after shipping a fuckton of goals I am happier with shitty 1-0 wins.

And just in case you don't get it fully, they're in the same fucking league as us
Fucking Fartwrangler

The reality is they are a decent side with a decent Manager and a lot of pace . We beat them 1-0 nil away from home which in itself is a fucking miracle . Something we couldn't manage for most of the year it seems .
