There's apartments on scotty road called picturehouse that are supposed to be nice. Get any bus from there up to goodison.

Other than that maybe a Travelodge in Fazakerley or Aintree. Easy enough to get from there.

.................wherever you stay it's top prices on Fri/Sat in Liverpool and has been for years . I would avoid places that cater for stag/hens if you want any peace.

Stayed in the Hallmark hotel on Mount pleasant, around 5 or 6 weeks ago. Two nights. Large double bed & breakfast. £152 all in. Nice and clean and no hassles.
Oh! And by the way. Access to travel from there, is as good as it gets. Central, and Lime Street Station (if it's open) are literally 4 or 5 minutes walk.
