He’s also almost exclusively linked with Champions league level clubs.

Off the top of my head I’ve seen Liverpool, Spurs, Inter Milan and Barcelona and I don’t even follow transfer rumours.

I’m sure Brands is great, but nobody is moving to Everton over CL football at 24 just because he knows Brands. Football players careers are too short for that sort of loyalty.

Tbh Walcott isn’t really the issue. He’s a fine prem level player for now that we are happy to take the hit on. But we should obviously be looking for someone to take over and improve long term on that side.

That Aston Villa winger is doing pretty decent, 2 goals and 3 assists in 14 games. Just recovered from a bad knee injury though..........

If we’re talking about their current level, I’m not having that theres somehow a magical list of unknown players that are better than Walcott that we haven’t heard of or the rest of the league would be signing them.

Brands is a good scout with an established network but he’s far from the only one.

Come on mate, you honestly think Theo Walcott is the best we can get at the moment.

I’d be having serious question marks over our director of football if he thought the same.
