I think that we have in fairness seen some improvements with Pickford. Don't know if that's due to the competition or whatever else, but our overall defensive structure has been better of late and he's played his part in that. Still the odd gaffe, maybe even a decent sized one per game, but less than before and he's pulled off some good saves too plus overall just seems a bit more composed.
I agree he's been better. But I don't have a lot of confidence he'll come truly good. Great reactions and good in 1v1s. But he has bad hands, is a poor decision maker, struggles from shots from distance, and is very weak in the air. Maybe with just one or two of these faults he could be a great keeper, but not with all four.
