Newcastle takeover?

(1/86) > >>

Brownie:
Being reported that Ashley has agreed a sale of £350m to the cousin of the Man City owner.

blueToffee:
Hmm, that's not great news from an Everton perspective. Another owner with deep pockets.

It's a bit unclear how much his net worth is, saw an article saying his family net worth is 150 billion, still a lot obviously, but Man City's owner's family worth is 1 trillion. He tried to buy Liverpool a while back for 2 billion.

Cozzie:
Its all academic now with FFP.

Its not like it was when Abramovich and Shiekh Mansour took over.

Ashley is worth more than Moshiri and hasent exactly done anything to improve Newcastle.

Ashley hasnít wanted to put money in though, and a new owner could sink money in and either take the punishment for a year or arrange a sponsorship deal.

Either way, I donít think itís great news as heíd likely not be doing it if he wasnít somewhat serious.

Ross:
Itíd be very bad news for us if this happens these sheikhs arenít in it for the money they want the glory an influence and theyíll spend whatever it takes to get it.
