Must be looking at 20 league goals this season at least, injury permitting
20 by Christmas or we get the “he’ll never be good enough” shouts going again.

Can't recall an Everton player with his development curve in my lifetime tbh.

Rooney was always tipped to be that level from being a kid, so that wouldn't count.

Can't recall a player who's had the same kind of rise as DCL from solid to potentially world class in a couple of seasons.
Not comparing them, but it’s similar to Kane’s. Looked out of his depth, then ok, then good and now he looks exceptional.

Exactly this, only difference is Kane had a few loans which helped him develop

He's got 10 already.
So 20 seems like aiming low right now.
I mean he kept scoring when we were losing as well.

His link up plau today was superb, couple of really nice one touch passes to Iwobi and Richy in particular.

An absolute beast.

He's part of the reason we ground out the win in the end. Winning fouls and holding the ball and generally taking the pressure off

He’s turning into a player I never thought we had. His hold up play is outstanding, and he finds himself in the right place at the right time.

I thought that part was much more impressive than the goals today. In previous years things came back far too quickly, not so much now

DCL always had everything but the "finishing touch" - which so many Blues said "you can't develop - either have it or you don't."

Apparently, with match experience and confidence (plus training)...you can develop it.

Huge credit to Big Dunc as well, DCL turned the corner when he took caretaker charge.

Not bad for the cone man.

Really good first half but actually felt he was coming to deep 2nd half and then was crowded out by their defenders and midfield. Felt he should stayed further forward and allow us to clear into the channels where his pace would of pushed them back. Likely was tired and didn’t have the energy 2nd half. Great runs and right place, right time with easy tap ins.

Man is a machine right now.

Honestly didn’t see this in him. But what an upward curve.

For that reason, winning fouls and holding the ball to take pressure off he was compared to Kane by the pundits yesterday.

If he were to maintain his current rate of scoring he would bag in excess of 30, imagine if he were our pen taker like Vardy !
