I've sucked it up and gone with £4.5m defenders as the £4m ones are crap. I think Mitchell at Palace is the best bet for a £4m defender. There doesn't seen to be any £4.5m midfield bargains this year either, not obvious ones anyway.

I've gone for Richy over DCL but Dom is cheaper. Do we think he will take Pens this year if Siggy isn't on the pitch? Had a bit of a standoff over the pre season pen at Blackpool didn't they!

Wasn't sure if James ever took pens, I know he likes a direct free kick which will impact on Dignes fantasy value.


I've also gone light on Man U and Man City players due to no game week 1. Usually a good idea to use the first wildcard swap early on when it's apparent who is on form and can swap the United and City players in then.
