It was actually a shot he had against Watford that kicked all this injury stuff off.

A midfielder having a shot for Everton? I wont hear it.

Good news story still though isn't it?

Great to see him play again and that smile as he ran on to the pitch!

I'm only here for the cladding/Bramley Moore Dock updates

He’s come back with enough time left this season for the club to assess him and see if he can really contribute, going forward.

Mainz Gbamin is exactly what this team needs, I hope he’s the same player.

Such a shame it was in an empty stadium. If he gets to play in front of a full Goodison I hope he gets a rousing reception.

Carlo talking him up in some reports today. Saying he has all the attributes athletically to be a top midfielder.

Obviously will need time and hopefully the last few games this year let us see if we need to be looking for a DM in the summer or not.

I'd imagine he's trying to get his confidence levels up saying that, I wouldn't read to much in to it.  If he goes on to have a decent career with us that's great, but there'll be a lot of doubts for probably quite a while either way.

We definitely need to strengthen regardless, as I said above who knows how it'll pan out for him.  If he does become a fantastic player then we just have a bit more depth... That's best case scenario though, absolute best.

Let’s see how he is next season alongside Doucoure and Allan.  I for one am optimistic.

I’d be happy if we moved on Delph and Gomes and brought in an older reliable DM for the season to be back up and help him. Give him the season to see how he is and have that solid cover.
