Think he's realised he's got it as good as he can get here. He missed the chance of his big move a season back, so is either knuckle down and become part of the Everton project, or spend the rest of his career in midtable mediocrity at someone like Schalke.

TBH I think the looming spectre of playing for Sunderland made him get his ass off the grass and knuckle down to it.

Mirallas and Barkley seem to have both decided that it's time to knuckle down or bust and I'm just pleased we're seeing the benefits of it.

Mirallas and Lukaku are two of the best finishers you want as a front two in the league to be honest. When either of them are in on goal you don't feel they're gonna miss. The trick is to be playing them both in on a more regular basis now Mirallas is looking sharp again.

Christ, to only have Bolasie back with Kev on form like this.

I think he and Barkley are only playing well because Bolasie is out. If Mirallas was out on the right wing still he'd probably be as anonymous as before.

The current formation certainly suits them both as they have more freedom to find space and it is a waste for Mirallas to be constantly on the wing

Gana back for this one. Senegal eliminated thanks to Mane.

In theory. I doubt he'll play though, we're not that desperate to rush him back now.

id say he's an automatic start but I suppose not.

We can afford him some R&R before bringing him back in I suppose with the way things are.

Nobody deserves to drop out but you have to think his long term 2 are Morgan and Gana...
I knew that someday I was going to die, and I knew that before I died, two things would happen to me. That number one; I would regret my entire life, and number two; that I would want to live my life over again.

Rather have him as a bench option than McCarthy, or at least back for the weekend (when we should be rotating some in midfield).

For me, I hope Gueye is back and plays.

It's going to be fun watching you lot trying to work out the permutations of our new found defensive midfield strength. Oh yeah! :)

Reckon this is going to be a tough game.

Would take another hard fought 1-0 win any day of the week.

Bainse? Is that a typo or did you manage to give a player a nickname that sounds exactly like his real name? Kudos!

And I'm saying nothing about Holegate.

Except he sounds like someone to bring back the 'glory' days           ;)
