No one ever celebrates against their former team anymore!

Dont think its quite the noble gesture fans seem to think it is!

He didn't celebrate for us either

Need a win here if we want to keep up with the rest of them. Sell out as usual so should be a good night!

Is this Mel's first game? Hopefully he tries to play some possession style and gets stomped by Martinez.

Remember when potichino had his first game against us and we were lucky to get a 0-0 draw

Just been trying to find out a bit about Mel, and how his teams play. He seemed to favour a 4-2-3-1 (shock horror) at Betis, possession football and fast wingers. West Brom are pretty much set up for a 4-2-3-1 anyway with Mulumbu and Yacob holding in the middle, so it's probably not a big change for them.

As Ram says, this is going to be tricky. His first game, and he's had 9 days to work with their players on the training ground, and to watch DVDs of our games, so you'd imagine they'd be well prepared. Would bite your hand off for a scrappy 1-0, and move on to the next game.
Jeff: That's not the way to win.
Kathie: Is there a way to win?
Jeff: There's a way to lose more slowly.

At least with him having spent that time managing Spanish teams, Martonez will probably know everything about him.

I'd probably take a draw here, to be honest.

I really fucking hate playing teams with a new manager

2-1 win here I think. Too strong for them and I think they will try and play instead of parking the bus, which will work in our favour, with gaps forming etc.
I have to return some videotapes.

We always seem to get teams just after they've got a new manager and something to prove

That's because half the managers have been fired this season.
