Too late to organise a big tour and it would definitely be announced by now if we were heading somewhere like the US or Australia as in previous years. We're likely playing a couple of games in Holland, Belgium, Germany and a few domestic games. I don't think you gain anything particularly special from a big tour in terms of the football side but it's potentially a big miss commercially.

Well our biggest commercial draw is on the way out anyway....

Hull just played in front of 65,000 as part of their deal with SportPesa.

Hull.

Boss exposure for them that.

It was rumoured that we were going to Kenya but now it sounds like they're coming to us...

I might start caring about the prediction league again now. Buzzing.
Jeff: That's not the way to win.
Kathie: Is there a way to win?
Jeff: There's a way to lose more slowly.

I don't really understand how we have nothing announced about preseason. As people mentioned earlier, I think this is a big commercial miss for us (granted it is a WC year so maybe a little more difficult to plan).

We've changed just about every key position at the club in the past week. I can understand why pre season planning has suffered.

I wonder if PSV will be our opponents for the final pre-season game at Goodison?

Tours are really only good for marketing and bringing in a little extra revenue. It's a missed opportunity, sure, but when you're changing as much as we are this summer it's something worth forgoing.

All that really matters is that we play enough matches for the squad to acclimate to the new manager's ideas in a semi-competitive environment.
