I was a proper tit back then, went to every away game, got ratarsed before the majority of them and ended up in bother. Newcastle was the worst for it, got kicked out twice there, both times just for swearing, the other time they wouldn't let me in cos I was bladdered, copper was great then though, told me to grab a coffee and come back, so I did, eventually let me in but I missed our first goal, Super Kev scored after 40 seconds, we ended up winning 3-1, Gemmell scored a screamer.

I might know you Macca77 as I went everywhere back then too. I went Newcastle one year.. We always seemed to play them around Christmas or New Year for some reason.. About 80 of us didn't have tickets and the police wouldn't let us in until someone suggested we all walk in to town and watch it in a pub.. They let us in after that. Mad days indeed.

It's also things like the fans, and the expectations of the club. Leicester are generally very happy with a top 10 finish. We sack managers who finish 8th.

Silva's acknowledged this already. He was asked about our fans being demanding. And he said (paraphrasing) 'yes the fans are demanding, but that's what you have at a big club. If the fans aren't demanding, you know that not much is expected of you'.

I'm not being biased or delusional. I'll call us shit when we are, and I know we're well behind the Top 6. But we're a much bigger club than Leicester, and one bizarre season won't change that.

Only in our eyes lad
ask anyone between 17-25 today who is the bigger club. (ie the age group of player we want)
You won't like the answer

No ambitious young player cares about which of Everton or Leicester are the bigger club. They're just looking for the ideal stepping stone to showcase their talent and move on to the big boys, whether that's more playing time, better coach, more suitable style.
It will be Brands job to either convince him that we offer the best prospects for him to advance his career or even better that we are already one of the big boys.

I feel hes the type of player that Ston buy for like 20m and we dont feel hes worth the cash and then he makes a 45m move to City the following year.

20m is a risk worthy fee imo.

If we are actually in for him like

Yeah, I don't really see Southampton having a bid accepted as a bad thing. As if we are in for him we now know the price so we really just have to match it, and dare I say how we were fleeced last summer it'd not be a bad idea for others to set a price first.

If we don't match it, I'd assume we were never really serious.
