Can we really afford two perms-crocks in centre midfield in McCarthy and Besic?

One needs to go in the summer. We'll have a lot of games next year and none can be relied upon.

Out of the two if we had to choose, I'd say bye bye to Besic.

Sounds like Baines needs to see a chiropractor.

reckon Ron is getting rid of Besic as well, as he says he likes McCarthy in those quotes.  No room for Besic, Gana, Snides, and Morgs in a two man midfield is there!

Not to mention Barry, but he's probably on his way out as well.

Barry's been on his way out since before he joined us.

I wouldn't be entirely surprised if he wears a raspberry beret.

Well ideally you want two options for each position. So yea, there is room.

Well we'd have Gana, Davies, Schnederlin and McCarthy if we did lose Barry and besic.

I'm not sure Davies is seen as deep laying as the others mentioned there, he's more adventurous.

Can anyone genuinely put a case together in favour of keeping Besic? Other than he once tackled Gareth Bale in a qualifier a few years ago.

He's had more poor games for us than good on the very rare occasion he's actually made it off the treatment table.

Besic has had probably the worst run of luck possible.
If you can't see the quality of player that's there then you're either blind or ignorant.
It's the roll I way

He deserves a chance, at the very least.

Why does he?

He's been here 3 years, that's plenty of time. If he's not been fit then tough shit, why should the club continue to pay his 20k plus a week wages with absolutely no return?

Especially when he was signed by the previous manager who signed him on the back of seeing him once or twice.

Bare in mind the fact that he's now 5th choice CM and that's not including Barkley or Davies who I consider to be slightly more forward playing but could also play in the middle.
