We need to stick to a sound business plan and strengthen the academy set up we already have . Spending on the right things at the right time . Or we could just hand the transfer budget to Lukaku .

Perhaps give him the managers job and that should fix everything

Happens at loads of clubs, lads. Senior players want to know the ambition of the club and which players you're looking to sign. If we can't put up with that kind of stuff, we'll never sign any marquee players that everyone seems to want every transfer window.
Jeff: That's not the way to win.
Kathie: Is there a way to win?
Jeff: There's a way to lose more slowly.

It does but that doesn't mean it is one of the most reprehensible things about modern footballers and their agents . Love Everton but tiring of the media circus that , to my mind , is ruining the game .

Steinbeck's maxim: “Socialism never took root in America because the poor see themselves not as an exploited proletariat but as temporarily embarrassed millionaires.”.

If it's a genuine interest in the plans for the future, I don't see anything wrong with that. If I'm interviewing for a new job, I ask exactly the same questions from any would-be employer. I wouldn't want to commit to work for a company that doesn't help me move forward in my career.

However, all too often in football it is used as a pretty flimsy excuse.

And I would sack you if you started wanting more money and told me you were destined for a bigger company after a few weeks .

Probably been mentioned elsewhere but there was a point over the winter transfer window where it looked like we'd decided not to sign anybody else. This coincided with us starting to play well. Then Koeman made some comment about the situation and we signed Schneiderlin. I'm guessing we were quibbling over valuations.

So Lukaku's comments are perhaps correct - if we'd really wanted players we could have got them.

Whether he's right to interpret this as a lack of ambition, we will have to wait and see. Signing in the winter is never a great time in terms of getting value for money so perhaps they just decided we'll wait until the summer now that we're playing OK and the players actually appear to understand how Koeman wants them to play.

If we do have the ambition then Lukaku will be held onto for at least another year and he will see what we do in the next 2 transfer windows. Of course we know he really wants to go ASAP and always has done so questioning our ambition is a load of bollocks.

so the opinion of the experts on here is that everton should just let there best players go ....and allow the media to spin stories about the club to suit themselves....without putting something out there....

ok...ta
