Beckford has to start over Saha again. I'd like to see Rodwell handed a start in Cahill's role too.

Cahill has to play this one. Their defence is all over the shop!
If ever there was an easy game for Tim todays is it.

Distin being dropped aint happening, hes playing well lately. Johnny warming bench im affraid.

Anyone have the roster yet?

The question is where is he playing? I hope it'll not be another square peg in a round hole situation.

Looks like one of Rodwell or Arteta is playing on the right hand side.

Still don't understand why we do not start Heitinga at RB over Hibbo

Not a terrible-looking starting eleven today. Curious as to who's on the bench, though.

Because Heitinga is no better if not a bit worse than Hibbert at right back.  Coleman I can see the argument for but Heitinga is clearly a class centre back/dm

.

The teenage midfielder is included in a midfield that also features Tim Cahill and Mikel Arteta.

The high profile pair were rested for the midweek win over Huddersfield and are joined by Marouane Fellaini and Steven Pienaar in the centre of the park.

Seamus Coleman and Magaye Gueye drop to the bench, with John Heitinga also missing out.

Tim Howard is back in goal but Jermaine Beckford continues up front.

The back four is Everton's regular one, comprising Tony Hibbert, Leighton Baines, Sylvain Distin and Phil Jagielka.

There are plenty of options on the bench, with Louis Saha, Diniyar Bilyaletdinov and Leon Osman also waiting in the wings.

Phil Neville is still sidelined with a foot injury.

Everton: Howard, Hibbert, Baines, Jagielka, Distin, Arteta, Cahill, Pienaar, Fellaini, Rodwell, Beckford. Subs: Mucha, Heitinga, Bilyaletdinov, Saha, Gueye, Osman, Coleman.

Thank you, nomorechang. That bench seems about right, considering who is and who isn't available at the moment.

So what's the general consensus on right midfield then? Arteta, Rodwell or (heaven forbid) Cahill. I expect to see mikel there but I'd like to see Jack there.

Looks like Rodwell and Arteta may interchange between centre midfield and the right wing.

Ashley Young will play behind Carew today too, so it's Downing and Albrighton on the wings for Villa.
