Didnít our Landon play in Germany for a bit
I knew that someday I was going to die, and I knew that before I died, two things would happen to me. That number one; I would regret my entire life, and number two; that I would want to live my life over again.

Yeah, flopped if I remember right

Not so much flopped as didn't adapt to life in Europe. Moved when he was 18, was loaned back to the US for multiple years. Only had 7 appearances for Leverkusen's first team. Also had a brief loan spell at Bayern, but didn't do too much with that time either.

Yeah, it is interesting. Even before we started recruiting Germans born to U.S. soldiers, like Jermaine Jones, to the National Team, there was typically a decent American contingent there. My best guess is that it is a preferred destination because, in addition to being a top 4 league, German teams seem more willing to give American chances and, especially in recent years, they seem to excel at  developing youth. Also, it probably helps that German's speak excellent English, making it easier for Americans to adapt.

Would klinsman have anything to do with it??

Playing for the USA in the game against France and half time, the USA are leading 1-0.
