I'm surprised no one's mentioned George Green. Isn't he supposed to be one of our diamonds? I would love to see him come on and do the back heel trick. Anyone remember that.....

Is McAleny really a diamond? Martinez is prone to exaggerate but..

Ledson (possibly), Garbutt and Browning playing is really exciting.

BTW, cant believe Kone couldnt do the Press Conf without an interpreter... he's been in the UK over 2 years...  :hmph:

Embarrassing that.

Players like Zlatan speak the language of every country they've played in, in his case Dutch, Spanish, Italian, French as well as his native Swedish and English thrown in.

McGeady learned Russian ffs with all those crazy letters yet Kone can't learn basic English in 2+ years?

Sort it you lazy bastard!

To be fair though there's quite a few on here that can't speak English very well judging by their spelling and grammar.

That you Nigel?

Not asking much to do a presser is it?

Surely he could have taken a few lessons over the last 12 months of doing fuck all other than a bit of recovery work at FF

EDIT: I'm not saying 'you live in England so speak English' just that anyone living in any foreign country for any length of time should make an effort to learn the language and embrace the culture (especially those paid to kick a ball and run for a couple of hours a day)

Maybe he genuinely struggles with the language and wants to feel comfortable doing the press conference especially as he has something to prove

Its a celebration. Should be a good game.

Hopefully Kone will do the talking with his feet in terms of goals goals and more goals.

After saying those players specifically, Martinez spoke about playing 2 'diamonds' of the youth academy so I'm guessing that'll be McAleny and Ledson.

Robles
Oviedo Browning Alcaraz Garbutt
Ledson Barry
Atsu McAleny Pienaar
Kone

That'd be my guess.

Mcaleny hardly a diamond though is he? He is 22 and if he was a diamond he would have been on the bench in the recent games where we have had no forwards on the bench.

It's likely to be Kenny. Him, nor ledson or Dowell were in the youth team game the other night which must mean are in the squad and would guess ledson and Kenny both will start.

As for Oviedo don't remember him ever playing right back for us?
