So, I know we have some foreign side in the week that noone cares about but let's start the Derby build up

Anyone think we have a chance? I cant see us not conceding early doors and I can't see how we can chase a game agaisnt them, they are so fast and scoring for fun at the minute

I really hope Allardyce let's unsworth take the u23s and anyone who is not involved on Sunday to Cyprus and he works with everyone else all week as a huge priority

We are gonna have to defend for dear life and try somehow to hit them on the break.

Worst day of the year for me

Anyways

Pickford
Kenny Williams Holgate Martina
Davies* Rooney Gueye
Lennon DCL Sigurdsson

*Davies I'm not sure on but fuck it

I think we will get hammered to be honest . Their attacking threat will prove too much at the minute . I know they concede as well but I just can't see it . Right now a point would be a fantastic result .

Defence to sit deep so their runners can't get in behind, also suits Keane better, maybe a back 5

Then hit them on the counter attack with our pac.... oh wait

                  Pickford
       Keane Williams Holgate
Kenny   Gueye Schneid  Martina
                  Rooney
            DCL       Lookman

The annoying thing is they have beaten us home and away when we have had much better sides than these. And even in my opinion when we have had a better team than them. It's all about mindset and belief, they seem to have the Indian sign over us and always seem better prepared. The only managers to my memory that used to beat them quite regularly, were Catterick, Royle and Kendall. No I don't think we will win, in fact last week I was looking at the record defeat for a derby.

They will spank us unfortunately. Although I am more hopeful of a result than I was a week ago.

Second worst game of the season for me, right behind the Goodison derby.

I hate the week long build up to derbies, think it's handled poorly by us, and is one of the reasons why we flake so badly twice every season.

Would prefer the low key 1/2 day preview we give to every other league game, rather than every player (esp. Jags and Baines) being wheeled out with videos explaining how important the derby is to them, and why this derby is our time to win.

He doesn't have a great record against Liverpool, but I'm hopeful that understanding the futility of romance and hype is one area that Allardyce is strong in.

Royle was unbeaten against them if I remember correctly.
