Title: Spurs v Everton
Post by: Shogun on May 05, 2019, 10:45:42 PM
Nothing on this for us apart from wanting to finish as high as possible but would be a hell of a way to finish the season.

Pickford
Coleman Keane Zouma Digne
Gana Gomes
Lookman Sigurdsson Bernard
DCL

Would give Lookman a start after Richarlisonís injury.

Could one of the youngsters like Simms or Bowler get a place on the bench just as a reward ? Tosun offers nothing.

Really meant this game, but yeah see what your saying-  as for spurs can't see them going big in the market, with the new stadium etc ( levy and his transfer policy))  we will be the same boat in a yr or 2 ,  so need to buy young, hungry, ambitious  players and hope they progress ala richarlison ( can't see us paying 40m-50m on 1 player)

Now that CL is guaranteed for next season I can see them resting the likes of Rose, Dire and Erickson as well, they need their best players for the Ajax

Why? Schneiderlin has done quite well since he came in. No point changing now especially If Gomes possibly isn't going to sign or us. Keep him on the bench at best.

Hopefully, the deal is already done and we can put Gomes back in as a kind of "Look what you could have won"

I think they'll go out in the CL, and I honestly fancy us to win here with them being without Son, Kane, Vertonghen (I think) & foyth too

It's a toss up between Schneiderlin & Gomes at the moment, as ive been impressed with Schneiderlin lately and against Spurs he may be the better option, had it been a weaker team where we'd have more of the ball id defo go with Gomes

Plus how much credit did we get from United, arsenal and Chelsea? Absolutely bobbins.

A few injuries and that team looks rank. Tosun and Walcott/Lookman is such a downgrade from DCL/Richt - not only in quality but to the way Marco wants to play.

And I just donít rate Kenny. At all. Like, I think heís horrifically average.

Totally agree. Iíd sooner they win the champions league. Keeps their 30 year run going and we can pass it off as a bit of a fluke being a cup. Just the utterly inept way Barcelona went about that game. Canít believe their manager has survived both last week and the Roma shite the year before. They are tactically inept

Good game. Stadium is absolutely superb. Love the home end with the single tier stand. Looks enormous and steep. Really loud in there too.

In the away end you've got a barrier in between each row (felt a bit like the old days when you could stand), so presumably they've designed it like that to allow potential safe standing.

Huge cheers coming from the away end every time Man City scored.

Great camaraderie between the 2 sets of fans. Everton fans started singing "We're gonna have a party when Tottenham win the cup", and within a few seconds the whole stadium was singing it. Very much appreciated by the Spurs fans.
