The only highlight that the BBC had to show alongside the Harry Winks announcement was a shot that went high and wide.

Out of all the age group success we were meant to have had this year, this is the best of the bunch.

As I think you know, I don't really follow football outside of Everton so I had a look on the PL website to see what English players were making assists and scoring goals this year and it makes for grim reading.

(DCL third highest English assist maker with 2 FYI).

Kane, Sterling and Rashford should technically be a really good front 3 for England I reckon.

Further back though I'm not full of confidence

Alli, Dier, Lallana as a midfield 3?

Stones and Cahill the centre back partnership?

Walker and Bertrand the full backs?

Hart still in goal?

I'm probably a bit out of touch with what Englands strongest 11 is

Would have thought Butland/Pickford a better choice for number 1 though (I still love Pickford despite fan opinion seemingly changing a bit on him)

Is Danny Rose still injured?
You think Lou Bega knocked it out of the park with Mambo number 1?!No but he kept at it!

It's the midfield where there's no creativity and no depth.

Whenever I've seen Alli play, I'm not sure what his position is - he's almost a no 10 that plays further forward. I wouldn't have him in midfield and I can see him being the new weak link for the national side as he won't be played in a role that allows him to contribute like he does at club level.

I don't think I've seen a good performance from Dele Alli in an England shirt yet. It seems to get completely glossed over because of how good he is for Spurs and nobody ever seems to question him.

Reckon Everton will win something before England do. Two sad teams innit.

                Butland
Walker Stones Jones Bertrand
           Lallana   Dier
                   Alli
Sterling                    Rashford
                 Kane

I'd go for that. Still shit. We couldn't win fuck all with players like Scholes, we're not going to start now.
