What is going on down there? Zola is having a bad season (maybe an unlucky one, because he did well last year) but he seems like a stand-up bloke, but the owners!?
"Open letters", gate crashing team getaways and calling people fat and lazy, talking about wage cuts to the media, relentless droning on about the club being in a dire state and it being rescued Knight in Shining Armour style by a porn entrepreneur and another old bloke.
What a bunch of classes idiots. I feel sorry for Zola, I gotta say.
Add to that the fact that they're just small time wheeler-dealers who plan to hijack the Olympic Stadium then sell the Club to someone else for a profit and it's hard to think anything about them other than: pair of bellends.
Like I said, sorry for Zola, but not for West Ham fans!

It is sad.
I can remember when they were a fine club, lucky to have brought through some very good talents in Geoff Hurst, Bobby Moore and Martin Peters (before my time obviously) and later Frank Lampard.
And you can't dislike someone like Gianfranco Zola.
Obviously I feel a bit more sympathy for them as the school where I used to go to had a claret and blue strip.
Mismanagement can wreck a club.

Thank god for Kenwright.

We suffer from no management as opposed to genuine mismanagement.

I agree with a lot of that but they're still a fine club and one that I personally like.

Even if they stay in the PL, they get the Olympic Stadium and the club sorts out it's finances, they still have pillocks in charge who embarrass the club with the things they say and do.
-
I like West Ham and I really, really like Zola. Their new owners are classless fuckwits, and I feel sorry for them. They want Zola out anyway, and have publicly crititicised him and the team's style of play, which is just outrageous. The owners should not open their fucking mouths.
I hope he can either hold on to this job, or get a better one, as he's a top man, a top footballer and I think he can be a top manager.
-
Sad times, WHU 0 Stoke 1
-
And they wonder why the Birmingham fans wanted them out?
-
Just saw breaking news on SSN. Zola is to consider his future overnight. Can't say I blame the guy.
-
Every single week cannot go by without either Gold or Sullivan (or even both of them) ranting about something which gets them noticed in the national press! It has been like that ever since they took over as if they want to keep reminding everybody who owns the club.
-
Not surprising, Gash. I said to my brother, when I heard Stoke had won, that he'd more than likely walk away. Don't blame him either.
-
What you are seeing is Everton's second season with Moyes. The board need confidence in Zola, like Kenwright and co had confidence in Moyes.
Too many clubs want success yesterday, when they don't deserve it. You have to graft for what you get, even Chelsea grafted for their first league win under Abramovich's reign and considering Chelsea had the semblance of a good side prior to Roman's revolution, they had a head start.
West ham on the other hand are in the same boat as us, a poor side just getting started, only difference is they may have some money to inject.

They've now issued a complaint about Fulhams team selection against Hull at the weekend saying that they were breaching the Premier League's rules by fielding a weakened team.
How low and desparate can you get. Pathetic.
Fulham have played around 50 games already this season and have the best chance they have ever had at winning a European Competition, they have every right to rest players. West Ham thought they were being saved by Gold and Suvillan instead they've just picked up a couple of twats.

Those claims always come back to bite them on the arse. Wolves were fined for fielding a weakened team earlier in the season, yet in the match against West Ham a few weeks back where they won 3-1, they fielded 8 of the 10 outfield players who featured in the "weakened" side against United.

Zola has come out and said he has no complaints, so the chairmen have got way too involved. It feels slightly nice having an absent chairman in contrast.
BBC Sport - Football - West Ham's Zola has 'no complaints' with Fulham team (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/w/west_ham_utd/8601135.stm#id8600000/8601100/8601135)
Gold and Sullivan are undermining the club and Zola, they will fall apart when we play hammer them. Zola should walk away sooner rather than later, I think we will give him a nice send off. Gold and Sullivan won't be blowing bubbles for long, they just want to get the olympic stadium and be off with a healthy profit and a dirty laugh, the West Ham fans might decide to sink the ship. :titanic:
-
If Zola gets the sack he nets about £3.5m.
Persoanlly, if I were him and my chairman was undermining me, and trying to make me walk, I'd hang in there just to get the money from the pair of bastards.
