Excellent news ! Doesn't piss around dithering, no way on earth would Koeman have nailed these guys down as fast as that !

He'd have them all signing for Spurs.

Three england internationals to boot, dont see any club in the PL giveing boys like this their chances in such a financial driven sport.Lots of improvements to be made by all three, but any young player with ability must view our academy  as the place to give their skills a real genuine chance to shine.

Koeman gave Holgate and DCL their chance and persevered with them

Most fans were slagging them off - Holgate (height)not up to it, DCL championship player

He also brought Kenny in

Massive cunt though, isn't he.

Itís nice to see Big Samís alleged distrust in youngsters is bullshit. He played Holgate (21), Kenny (20), Davies (19), Vlasic (20), DCL (20) against Newcastle. Yes, he was forced up to a point, but only up to a point.

Slagging Koeman for the same thing is as much silly though.

Koeman made Davies a regular and also signed Vlasic

He's no cunt in my book

I'm sure he will.

I reckon the Belgium job will be up for grabs soon, Lukaku wouldn't feel jinxed in the slightest.

Doesnít have much choice imo

Yeah, but he still could play Jags/Keane at CB and Holgate at RB. Or Mirallas instead of Vlasic. Or Rooney up front instead of DCL. Or Niasse.
Again he would be stupid to play e.g. DCL if he had a proven goalscorer in the squad.

Should also encourage younger talent from other clubs to sign for us instead of signing for the 'big' clubs

I don't think it would have made any difference if Koeman was here, he was playing them and thought highly of them by the look of it so I doubt he'd have stood in the club's way of signing them up. These are the type of deals that will have been done by Walsh, Koeman having 18 months left on his deal wouldn't have been stopping players getting 5-6 year deals.

Good move by the club to tie them down, they've all got great potential and now they'll hopefully realise that potential here and the worse case scenario is that if they do get tempted to move we'll hopefully get decent money for them rather than do a Barkley and run their contract down.

Nice.  Big Sam's grotto there.  "Jonjoe, Mason, Dom - what do you want for Christmas lads?  Sorted."

Allardyce has had some kind things to say about the three of them (ignoring the Barkley headline and comments, because I can't be arsed getting into all of that) -

So glad Mirallas has been binned.

Put the sight of him in a West Ham shirt in January directly in to my veins.

Yes is good news but the chances of all three, or even two out of three seeing the full term of their contracts out is probably nil to zero if they realise the potential that we all think they have but like you say, we will certainly make a few bob on them if they go in a year or two.

Yes - when a player get's 'binned' - thoughts go immediately to West Ham and Stoke. Maybe also WBA, but to a much lesser extent.

Let's not forget Morgan Feeney while we on the topic of rising talent. He looks a bit like Sandy Brown to boot.

God almighty, that's a sight that would even freeze the blood in Mike Pejics veins.

There may be a bit of Mike Pejic mixed in!

Feeney still buys a season ticket for Gwladys St!

We have some collection of young talent in the club right now. Would love to be able to see an Everton side take the field in 2 to 3 years time that had Davis, Kenny, Holgate, DCL, Dowell, Lookman, Feeney, Hornby all featuring.
