We had Lukaku. We had Ross Barkley. We got bought by Moshiri. I no longer respected, but did not really dislike the manager. Things were bad, but not as bad as this season has been.

There has been little fun to be had in watching Everton lately.

Not optimistic for next year either, we need massive change through the club as a whole.

That's the case. We managed to produce an utter turd, be boring as fuck and finish in the bottom half with Lukaku scoring for fun. That clown is a worse manager than Allardyce.

Hey, whaddya mean nothing to play for?  Leicester won, and since Spurs have clinched Top Four they have nothing to play for on Sunday - so we could lose that sweet, sweet 8th place moneys.

If Liverpool win and Spurs lose or draw, Spurs will slip from 3rd to 4th, so that seems like something for them to play for. Are the CL qualifying rounds different for 3rd and 4th place?

Think theyíve got rid of the top leagues bottom places (4th) having to qualify.

Still expect spurs to want to win and have At least as much as Leicester to play for.

Still don't care.

It's a funny one, isn't it.

In previous times I'd be interested in the club's (shitty) finances and things like overpaying for players or getting cash from league positions felt and were very important.

Now it's not much more than whether some billionaire's bank balance is a fraction of a percent higher or lower.

It's not even that for me now. Whatever we do, wherever we finish, we never win anything anyway.

I know that's a defeatist attitude, but I haven't enough win in me for both me and Everton :)

we want to play attacking football but the last 2 defenders we got in are both sit back deep and look good in that
but when they are needed to play I high line fuck me they are crap
Williams has to be gone this window and Keane will need some work on playing a high line I hope the fuck he is the centre of the 3 today and not on the right

Baffling how in a dead rubber game like this that Klaasen isn't given a run out.. Still hoping if he gets a good pre-season and new manager there is a player in there for us, cant just become shit overnight.

What player in that line-up could thread a ball through to the front line.  Clearly going to be more hoof ball with no creativity whatsoever and to think in the summer we complained about too many number 10s yet with Siggy injured, Rooney more than likely leaving and Klaasen out of favour we have no real options at all.

Its the only time I agree with Allardyce but we must be buying quality over quantity, no point overloading the club again with players from relegated clubs who will increase the squad but not the overall quality. (Pickford excluded from that argument lol)

Problem is that theyíre both full backs so their natural starting position is usually further back than actual wing backs.

Plus when you just randomly switch to this formation itís harder to get them to move up.

Yes, you really don't need 2 DMs with a back 3.

I think Sam is trying to re-invent Gana as an attacking mid...

Seriously though, this game is a dead rubber and a chance to show that his teams can be more progressive and entertaining as thereís no pressure to get a result and heís gone for 5 at the back with two DMs.

Why would he take players with him? Massive overhaul needed but it won't happen in one summer. With the exception of 4-6 of the squad players heading out, majority will still be here. Need a manager who can work with many of these players, and keep adding a couple every window. Sadly it is another long term rebuilding programme over the next three seasons.

The quality in the league is highly questionable right now. I mean teams are finishing comfortably mid table on 44 pts.

Our points donít lie. We finished second in the best of the rest league. The question is do we feel closer to catching the top 6? We seem to me, further away than we have in years since weíve lost Lukaku and others. This side does not seem ready to challenge at that level, to be that consistent. So if weíre not chasing 6th and above we effectively just become part of the big amorphous blob of average teams that make up 7th and below.

A perfect illustration of how shite this league is.
We did it in 4th place with Moyes

That can be turned around by a competent and inspiring manager in a matter of weeks. Lot cheaper than buying a new squad, only to find out that without clear direction and good coaching they're cunts too.
Keane not good enough,Baines gone past, Jags same, Mori, Williams...Shniderlinng, gana, Bolaise, Tosun iffy, manager needs gone ok but nothing can be done with these lot, a mixture of age and just poor or average at best

Thatís different question from the panic about a relegation level squad though.

Agree finding an attacker at or about Lukakuís level is needed and isnít obvious where it would come from.

But if you think the management has been terrible then you canít reasonably write off these players from looking much better under new management with 2 or 3 players with the attributes that we currently lack, having been added.

Absolutely incomprehensible comment ,try again .

Ok.

Lots of the teams below us think they have had decent/ good seasons.

We think we’ve had a terrible season.

Therefore the chances are we, with a new manager will improve and they won’t/ will get a bit worse.

Therefore zero chance of going down.

He said we did not play well in the first half, but second half he changed the system and we were the better team. The difference were the keepers, Adrian making three great saves and Pickford could have done better with one of theirs.

I agree, that’s why I said anyone below us should be ashamed.

Edit : re relegation level squad

Better have gone down I think. Particularly when it comes to attacking threat (without Gylfi especially who guarantees g+a in the prem) but we do have some individual players who are clearly top end of the table talents, Walcott, Gylfi, Coleman, Baines, Gana, Pickford.

Started the season with a relegation libel back 4 and front 3 tho. Cuco, Kenny, Keane and Williams...

- We are only the 13th worst team in the Premier League

For me heís a more hard working, less smooth Beckford. As in they can get goals but most of the rest of their performance isnít up to standard.

Niasse has one over Beckford in that heís selfless and therefore wonít anger managers, team mates, fans.

Using the Allardyce yardstick, thereís absolutely no way heíd ever be considered by the top 6.

Think you've just got to learn that whilst he's poor as a footballer, touch, technique etc, he's very effective and is actually a good goalscorer at this level.

In terms of back up strikers he really is the best we can hope for.

No way we should be looking to sell him IMO.

As long as he's happy with this role he should be staying.

Finally this season is over . What a clusterfuck from start to finish . I seriously hope the clown in charge of this club buys a football annual over the summer and actually learns a bit about the game before he fucks up 2018/19 . A repeat of his decisions sees us in the Championship in 2019/20 without a doubt .

Thereís no way anyone is paying decent money for him. Weíre stuck with this turkey now unless he goes back to Burnley on loan so someone else can pay his wages. I dread to think how much him, Sandro and Klaassan are costing us per week.

Not every member of a 25 man squad has to be a starter but they should have the ability to deliver when called upon. Which he does. Most of the time.

Thatís total bollocks, Fake News ! I was about 6 rows up from that, we were getting all kinds of shit from their fans on both sides of the away section, chants of fat bastard Scouse paedos to name just one, they were arms through the partition gesticulating wankers, a couple of our guys asked the stewards why they were just standing there when a couple of their guys were clearly trying to provoke violence but they did nothing, eventually one or two Evertonians next to the fence reacted and lunged at the fence with clenched fists and were immediately put in an arm lock and dragged out of the stand.
