My favourite is that we’ve spent more years in the domestic top flight than any other football club in the world.
Go.

3) First club to stage a World Cup semi-final in Britain
2) First club to win a penalty shoot-out in the European Cup
1) Beat every team in 1969-70 League Championship winning season over 42 games; a feat not repeated until 1984-85 League Championship winning season, also over 42 games

And semis too.

Hold the distinction of being league champions the year prior to both world wars, 1914-15 season and 1938-39, which means we actually HELD the title for 4 and 5 years respectively which in essence is a record that is likely to never be beaten as no one has ever won the league more than 3 years running.
Another way of looking at it is that it's incredibly unlucky also that 2 title winning sides where broken up due to the wars, who knows how many more titles we may have won had we been able to build on those sides.

And semis too.
I thought this was favorite stats? :eh:

Maybe that's why we think the refs are against us. They're just afraid if we win the league then world war 3 could break out

And semis too.

I love all the firsts.

Dixie Dean was the first ever number 9 in English football.
-
Dixie Dean's 60 goals in one season. Will it ever be beaten?

What's even more impressive is the fact that just the season before, Middlesbroughs George Camsel hit 59 goals.
It was like he scored 60 to take the piss.

weren't Hull 2 up against arsenal the other year? Could be wrong

Yes - but Arsenal won in extra time, not 90mins!
And our 1966 winning goalscorer Derek Temple scored in every round apart from the semi-final
Most consecutive Charity Shield wins (4)
-
Yeah they were 2-0 in the first ten minutes.
On that, we still have the fastest goal scored in a final?
