Our neighbours have bid 15 million for Downing and had it turned down.

They sure do have some money to spash around.

Gits.

Ridiculous money yet again, just because he is English.

In fairness he isn't the best player ever but he's better than what they have, probably worth about 12 million but you have to pay premiums for English players.

Puts in a good cross

Did Young only have 1 year left on his contract? I think he is better player
Simply simply lovely

He'll probably go for £20m

Which would mean Liverpool would have spent £75m on 3 very average English players.

If Young went for 18m an Villa told us to fuck off with 12m, then 16m for Downing then we should go for Mata far better player

I can't disagree. I think Downing at 16mil + is absurd.

how much did they pay Boro for him? 12 million?
You would want to make more than 3 million  profit.

On a player you want to keep, I agree. That valuation is totally bogus though.

£20m fee agreed for Downing, Lerner admitted to hospital with a severe case of split sides.
