Everton have a few fresh injury concerns ahead of their Carling Cup match against Sheffield United, according to manager David Moyes.
The Blades arrive at Goodison Park on Wednesday night (8pm), with a place in the third round of the competition up for grabs.
The hosts are still without Seamus Coleman (ankle) and Diniyar Bilyaletdinov (suspended), while Moyes also confirmed Magaye Gueye is currently sidelined with a broken toe.
And with Tim Cahill suffering from an illness, Jermaine Beckford having a bruised knee and Louis Saha still not deemed match fit; then this tie should present opportunities for some of Everton’s younger players.
Moyes told evertonfc.com: “We have got a few doubts. We have a doubt about Jermaine, he has a knock on his knee. Tim Cahill is feeling a bit sick and we are not quite sure where Louis is just yet in his general fitness.
“Obviously we are missing Seamus still, Bilyaletdinov is still suspended and Magaye Gueye has a broken toe so, yes, we are missing a few, but hopefully we will be okay.”
