Would it be too much to ask for an early goal and a comfortable 2-0 win?And this line up

                    Howard

Hibbert  Jagielka Heitinga Baines

Drenthe Fellaini Rodwell Osman

            Stracqualursi Saha

I don't expect this but would like to see this line-up. The Cahill behind Saha strikeforce just doesn't work. We will probably stick with it though, dominate possession, concede a goal with their only effort on target and make some desperate substitutions to get us back in the game with 15 mins left
You think Lou Bega knocked it out of the park with Mambo number 1?!No but he kept at it!

That looks like a good line up. I think if your playing Straq we need to drop Jags?? Maybe thats a bit controversial?

Moyes pretty much admitted that to himself when he subbed cahill on 60 mins, i think he will change it, I dont want straq anywhere near the starting line up, but beggars cant be chooses nowadays. id rather see vellios instead of staq but id be happy with that lineup

I think Strac's ability to hold up th ball or get flick ons is noticeably better than Vellios'. If we're expecting those kind of attributes from someone in that Cahill 2nd striker role, I think Strac Is the better choice.

Vellios would I feel be better suited at present to replacing Saha as the person to finish off the move.

I'm not sure Moyes has admitted anything withy regard to Cahill though. I wouldn't at ll be surprised to see him back I the line up with Saha. Perhaps he took him off with an eye to his fitness for the midweek game?

Showed more ability to win the ball in the air, and hold the ball up in 30 minutes, than any of our other strikers all season put together.  Give the lad a go.  Do you think we are playing so well at the moment, that it doesn't need shaking up?

Saying that, your the bloke that is still convinced we are gonna have 15-20m to spend in January, so it wouldn't surprise me.

Saha is best suited to playing as part of a 2 up front. Cahill is in woeful form at the moment and in every sub appearance straq has made you have to say he has been great at flick ons. won everything in the air yesterday and played it sensibly out to the wings and made a move for the box. Cahill didn't win the flick ons and didn't move as well as Straq. Denis deserves a chance up front as does Vellios, as Cahill and Saha just aren't producing the goods

And you are basing Barkley's inclusion on what then?

Hibbert       Distin       Heitinga       Baines

                   Fellaini Rodwell

Drenthe                                       Gueye

                  Strac    Saha

Harsh on Jags but I think we miss Distin and I prefer Heitinga's ability to bring the ball out.  Gueye starts but gets subbed at half time for Bily or Osman. If Rodwell not fit Osman takes his place.

Straq did more in the time he was on than Cahill has done for most of the season. He deserves a chance, it wouldn't be any worse than Cahill starting again.

You're comment on him starting is slightly contradicted by then putting Barkley in the starting line up. Other than the QPR game, he hasn't done a massive amount to show he is ready to start games either.

I like that team ... even though I doubt if Gueye can keep his form for a full 90 mins yet which may give Ossie a chance to get half a game ? ...or even possibly Ross Barkley ?

Exactly, let Gueye threaten early on and have the option of Osman, barkley it bily from bench, all offerring different things

I happen to agree with the Straq being given a start. The other players who could play that role have been severely lacking all season (and even last season too) and I just desperately want Moyes to mix thing up ever so slightly. We do look stale, and I know we have a small squad, but he has a few younger players who look hungry.
