1-1 a penalty in the 80th minute saving us after a lacklustre performance

2-0 to the mighty blues :)
Alan Harper: "I made my debut at Goodison against Stoke and was standing in the tunnel waiting to go onto the pitch. Z cars started playing on the PA and I heard the crowd roar. If I could bottle a moment and save it forever, then that would be it.

Gonna be an easy walkover this one, we'll get after them from the off and slaughter them into submission with our free flowing attacking football

                  Howard

Neville Duffy Heitinga Baines

Donovan Gibson Fellaini Drenthe

            Anichebe Saha

1-1 Pederson gives them the lead early in the 2nd half, Donovan digs us out of a mess in the 84th minute.  That opening sentence was a lie
You think Lou Bega knocked it out of the park with Mambo number 1?!No but he kept at it!

Hopefully same team, but I would swap Saha and Cahill for the admittedly unfit duo of Anichebe and Vellios; and I would ask both of them to play upfront (radical, I know)
It will probably be the same team, but I think earlier subs will be made when we are locked at 1-1. It will either stay that way, or we will nick it 2-1.

granted anichebe and vellios have scored 6 goals between them...how many of them have come from whent hey started matches? 1 and that was anichebe in the cc, they dont have the nack to score from the off, both impact subs

How many games have they started though? If they get a run of games they should get better with momentum. Even Baines and Jags struggled when they first came to us, and they were already seasoned pros. Anichebe is starting all over again really.

Anichebe isn't fit enough to start. Not sure about the other options but maybe McAleny,,Vellios or Straq have more in the tank.

They're much better than their position suggests. A win is needed, though.

Once again, if we could please, please, please be entertained, even a tiny bit, I'd be ever so grateful.

Yes but how many goals has Saha scored from starting?  You have to start giving someone else 90 minutes.

weak argument, they have only hard 1 start each and cant do any worse than saha and cahill.

2-0 Donovan, Gibson

I think lacking Yakubu will hurt them. Got himself sent off yesterday.
