Howard
Hibbert Heitinga Distin Baines
Drenthe Fellaini Osman Pienaar
Cahill
Jelavic

This should be the team imo. Under no circumstances should Jagielka come in or should Neville play in midfield.

Osman always goes missing in the derby. Neville is shit in midfield and i expect coleman to be on his arse after yesterday.

Delighted to be able to welcome back Hibbert, Jagielka and PIENAAR for this one

Howard

Jagielka
Distin
Baines
Hibbert

Heitinga
Fellaini

Drenthe
Pienaar
Cahill

Jelavic

Thats a proper derby team. Every player is aggressive and capable of putting in a tackle whilst there is plenty of pace on the counter. Perfect blend of steel and class

Neville in midield, Osman (despite his good performance yesterday) will not work in this game FACT. If Drenthe dosent play then this is an absolute disgrace. No excuse for him being tired he only played an hour yesterday and was class.

I expect moyes to go with his holy trinity hibbert, ossie, neville which will lose us this one or at best nick a draw. I say we go for em. What is there to lose we arent going down and we need to win these games to get into europe. Lets attack the shit out of these overrated mickey mouse cup knobheads

                          Howard

Neville      Distin        Heitinga           Baines

Drenthe       Fellaini         Osman       Pienaar

                         Straq         Jelevic

I would like to see straq and jelevic upfront i think they would cause some right problems together. think he will start cahill though but not sure who he will go for out of jelevic and straq

                          Howard

Hibbert      Distin        Heitinga           Baines

Drenthe       Fellaini         Neville       Pienaar

                              Cahill

                              Straq

We need to win the midfield battle against the RS. Osman in the middle would be too lightweight, that's why I'd put Neville in there.

Straq can run his balls off for 60 minutes, tiring their back four, then we can bring Jelavic on for him. I'd play Cahill because he always tends to do well against RS, and they don't like him.

I could also see Moyes playing Jags alongside Distin at the back, and pushing Heitinga into midfield (instead of Neville). I definitely wouldn't like to see this though - Heitinga is far better in the back four than in midfield.

And what do you expect Neville to do in the middle of the park?

Be more of a presence than Osman, that's for sure.

Challenges like he made on Cole, and famously, Ronaldo, spring to mind.

If we had a better option for the midfield battle, I'd leave him at right back, but we don't.

Footballing wise?

If you want a presence you might aswell just put Mark Henry there.

But he's a shit footballer, and for every tackle he makes, theres 5 stupid free kicks he gives away.

Man UTD and Fiorentina spring to mind when thinking of great games Osman has had in the middle of the park

No, winning the midfield battle 'wise'.

As I wrote in my original post.

Yes, I know Neville is shit creatively. But if you don't think Dalglish is going to have his side kick the shit out of us, you're not recalling many Anfield derbies of recent years.

They didn't try to kick the shit out of us like the RS will do.
