Not Mirra-cole man ?

surely just mirman. great performance in the first half. If pienaar is going to have an off day its good to see that we have miralles to create chances. Coleman is still to make me a believer in his defensive skills. Thought he made some very poor decisions against leeds, like showing players inside rather than down the line and rushing into tackles. Obviously i'd love it if we could have a Irish player as a regular so i hope he proves me wrong against better opposition. Only other worry is that if anything happens to Jelavic we're screwed, but for now happy days

Good result in the end. Poor start, as was Tuesday and it's slightly worrying that that's two games in a row we've conceded in the first five minutes. I can't think of that happening too often.

I haven't seen a reply yet, but did Howard totally miss the ball coming over? We were talking and not fully paying attention, one of my mates thought it was poor marking, I thought it was both, poor marking and Howard missing the ball coming over?

Once we got the goal back, it wasn't really in doubt. The only disappointment was that we didn't get a couple more in the second half. I honestly thought we'd rack up a cricket score.

Howard and poor marking, total fuck up.  Howard totally misses it.

Attendance today just under 38k, very good considering Southampton sent back their upper bullens tickets.

Just goes to show what a bit of success does.

Howard missed the ball completely. Definitely another mistake to mark down to him. We need a good back up keeper.Tim's looking suspect.

Great win after a slow start, watched the goals on MOTD before, the build up for Jelavic's first was sublime and what a record the Croat has had since joining, something like 14/15 in 22 games. £5.5m well spent if you ask me

Perhaps it was poor marking, but I think when the ball drops about a foot and a half from the goal line there is a reasonable expectation that the keeper should claim it. All I can think is he lost the flight of the ball. He had a great game against Swansea but the rest of the season hasn't been the best. It feels like 75% of the goals we're conceding are down to him.

Not a great way to start the match, and a very soft goal to give away.
But things got better after that.
The second goal was especially good, I thought.
Nice Belgian interplay, which lead to Jela putting it away well.

Three deserved points, and a second place in the table.
What a difference with last year.
