Nice touch that, subbing him off to give him the ovation he deserves. Top bloke, yet another era comes to an end.

Like he could have lasted 90 minutes anyway

They've got another game next week by the way.

That video does speak volumes about how popular he is with team mates.  He's not been there long, and I guess it would be quite easy for the other players to begrudge him the attention but they clearly like him a lot.

Nah, they're simply trying to get on tv for their 15 minutes of fame because this video will be played forever more. :)

Also everyone seems to have missed Carragher retiring.

At least one reason to appreciate Beckham!

And Michael Owen

Still think he was the most consistently deadly crosser of the ball Ive ever seen in my life, got to be worth something.

Off the pitch he is a colossus, a guy who the term idol truly applies, and someone who has carried himself in the true spirit of a role model. If you want your son to try to emulate any sportsman, it should be David Beckham, end of.

@TheRam BBC1, a hole hour and a half of David Beckham doing a bit jungle trekking in Brazil so there might even be a bit of bare chest action. ;)

Not every day that'll happen, you're having a game of beach footy in Rio and Beckham and his mates pull up on motorbikes and ask if they can join in.
