OK, I have my answers.

We also had 72% possession according to the BBC

Did we really do sweet FA with it?

Yes McCarthy avoided a booking.

As for positives...erm....
- We are now 5th in the league for one day
- We kept a clean sheet albeit we were extremely lucky Palace wasted 3 great opportunities.
- Howard did very well.
- And erm...yeah, McCarthy is available for the Merseyside Derby unless he is injured on international duty

Ah yes, our old friend, 'International Duty'

To be honest I was very surprised we had that much possession even though we dominated the game on the whole as Palace also had a few spells where they were the more attacking team and we gave the ball away a lot.

Of course possession doesn't count for everything but still - If we have the ball, the opposition can't score.

I missed that interview. When did he say we were poor? Maybe the league cup tie, definitely not in the league. On the plus side although we cannot score goals, we are not conceding, although to be fair that was because Palace were crap and should have got two goals but for their incompetence. As usual we will be hiding behind chairs when we play the RS, praying for a miracle.

If you read the programme notes thread he mentions where we've been lacking.

This report might appear harsh on Everton but in truth we were piss poor today.

Don't think you'll get too many arguments. Even Martinez fanboys (like myself) thought we were fucking awful today.

There are no excuses for not winning that. Palace are the worst team in the EPL without a shadow of a doubt.. Personally I'm starting to get worried about the teams lack of cohesion. If we play like that against the other lot? get ready to be embarrassed,  due to a home derby tanking. Hope Ballys wrong about the possibility of the wheels coming off. The next four games will give us a good idea of that. Im fucking nervous after last week and this. None of our players with the exception of Howard and Barry deserve more than a 5. Howard 7. Barry 6. ?????

Footballers and twitter are a ridiculous combination
There are only two things I can't stand in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures... and the Dutch.
