They are shite, front two apart.  Unfortunately Rat and Sturridge know where the net is unlike our shot shy front 6.  Can see it being either 1-3 or 1-4 with us down to 9 or 10 men, Mccarthy is a cert to be red carded.

All this bullshit that McCarthy is inevitably destined for a red card is getting out of hand, he's never been sent off in his professional career.

He should have been sent off twice already for us, and if he puts one of those challenges in on our lovely neighbours, on the likes of Captain Cockface or The Rat, you can guarantee they'll be rolling around on the floor like they've been shot while whichever biased gobshite running the game won't be able to get a red card out of his arse pocket quick enough

What a load of shite. Where's all this McCarthy red card stuff coming from?

Two weeks to go and we've lost this game before a ball's even been kicked.

See my answer to Samwise.  If we play remotely like we have done against Palace and Spurs, with a complete lack of tempo, and half the side not turning up, against the shite, we will get torn a new one.  While Moyes might have gone, most of the squad that he's spent the last 10 years making them shit themselves every time we play them, are still there, and Martinez will need to perform a real miracle of psychology to get them out of this mindset.

That's the spirit, positive as ever.

If our fans mindset is anything to go by,he'll need more than a miracle.
  U know me ;)

a bit like Joe Royle did?

his first derby was in November too....

Indeed Si, we can but hope,

there are similarities that I will go into in more detail once I have something confirmed, but Martinez and Royle could have a similar first season in charge at Everton...

Hmm, interesting

Fans mindset doesn't make too much of a difference, there'l be a great atmosphere at the game.  We have a terrible record against these though, they are above us in the league, playing better football and scoring more goals so you would have to say they are favourites

Not impossible for us to get a result, though if I am being honest I expect us to be beaten

You negative bastard Stealth ;)

I don't do optimism in Derby's any more.  A day at Wembley in April 2012 saw to that

If Martinez is somehow unaware of what these games mean (which I am not having for one minute), a quick word in his shell-like from a certain Scottish youth coach in our setup would soon change that.

Gutted with a draw, enough chances today to win 3 derbys, but by the same token so did they.  Good stuff to see Barkley growing by the game, Mccarthy was all over the pitch, Pienaar was back to his old self, Mirallas had his best game in donkeys (even ignoring his challenge on the rat faced racist).  Thought Lukaku was awful til he scored, but the header for his 2nd was awesome, right out the Dunc school of headers.

Think today has highlighted the need for a keeper that is competant on crosses, and also time for Distin to be phased out IMO.  Too many brain farts in big games.  What the fuck he was doing challenging at head height on the touchline in the last minute, when there was no challenge needed is beyond me.
