Since the transfer window closed I can honestly say the only 2 results I am disappointed with are the Sunderland and Crystal Palace games, and even then the Sunderland game was a case of bad luck.
All the other dropped points are points that at the start of the season you wouldn't be too disheartened with dropping. Draws against Spurs and Liverpool are not bad, and neither is a draw at Stoke (one of the more formidable grounds), and the draw at the Emirates was superb.
So since the transfer window (and I believe you can only really judge our team on the team and squad since then), to have just 2 disappointing reslts is an excellent return for the side.
If we had the current squad from the start I'd have predicted at least 2 of the first 3 draws would have been wins and for that reason I am happy that despite playing catch up we are in the mix, and I am also quietly optimistic of 4th spot.
However, as others have said, in Martinez debut season anything in the top 6 would be a good season. Liverpool struggled to adapt at first under Rodgers but 12-18 months down the line they are looking a real force again, so I believe our future is bright too!
