Big game this - not just for the cup but physiologically for fourth. Arsenal are showing a weakness and have some tough games. I said a few weeks ago it might be them rather than the RS we were chasing for fourth. Exciting few months left. COYB

Wish people would stop going on about 4th or beyond - its. not. happening. As tough a fixture list Arsenal have coming up, they will still be above us by the time we play them at Goodison. The challenge for 4th went a few weeks back, please can we give this a rest. This tie is a great opportunity for us to progress and keep the season going, it'll be tough but we can get through it after we've taken them back to Goodison.

Just to let everyone on here know what a fantastic guy Eddie is , he went right out of his way to get an Arsenal ticket for me . He not only qued up online , he then went down to the ground , all in his own time.
Youre a top Blue mate , and if I can ever repay your time and effort , you only have to ask.

I don't know eddie except for on here, but I think I'd like him off forum too. He posted on here about s derby ticket and said he'd run on at the sess pit and plant a Everton flag on the centre circle if he got one... for that alone, I love him, in a manly way :batty: it also showed me he thinks like a proper blue.. respect for eddie from this blue.

Really believe this is a VERY good time to be playing Arsenal. Don't think they want to play us at all this weekend, but I believe we will be right up for it.

Would like us to come out strong from the start and take an early lead. We seem to like to wait until after the 75th minute to score and it would be nice to actually get out front early. Should help get their fans on their backs as well.

I'd go

howard
coleman jags* distin baines
barry McCarthy
mirallas barkley pienaar
lukaku

still think it will be a narrow defeat though, just aren't effective enough in the final third

2-1 arsenal.

Given Mertesaker had the turning circle and pace of the Graf Spee we need pace in abundance up front against arsenal.

I'm going for a front 4 of:

Deloufeu Pienaar Mirallas

Lukaku

With the attacking mids switching positions to probe weakness.

Barkley, McGeady and Naismith are 3 great attacking options from the bench.

The Good Citizen

Arsenal always tend to blow their season in the space of a few days, losing in the CL and the prem and then being dumped out the cup by Everton in over a 10 day spell would really piss on Wenger's chips.
I cast a shorter shadow with every passing day
