Yakubu to Boreham Wood

lolol

Wonder how long he'll last before he gets bored and goes elsewhere.

Red Bull Leipzig have signed Dayot Upamecano who apparently was wanted by Real Madrid, Barcelona and Man Utd.

He joined them from...guess...Red Bull Salzburg!

Wonder how long the Payet saga will drag.

West Ham fans will add him to their intense hate list along with Paul Ince, Frank Lampard, new stadium...

Wolves have bought Ruben Neves of Porto for around 15.8m.

That must be a record sum paid by a Championship team.

Redknapp trying to persuade 37 year old Robbie Keane to join Birmingham. He really has no qualms when it comes to spending other people's money.

Redknapp's scouting network is basically his phone contact list. Surely he has Kranjcar on speed dial.

Ideally it would be better and make sense for the window to close before the season starts...

...but only if the other European leagues were to accept similar proposals.

The cost of defence:

Manchester City $287.3m

Afghanistan $173.6m

FFS. Instead of spending money on Keane, Klaassen, Sigurdsson, Schneiderlin, Tosun and Bolasie, we could have conquered Afghanistan.

Easier said than done. The Americans and Russians before them have both had a crack and failed miserably.

Absolutely. In fact if Allardyce's Everton was in charge of such an invasion we would see the Afghan army surrounding every major UK city within 3 days with only one or two RAF fighter jets actually crossing the North Sea as far as Russia.

Paulinho moving back to China again is extremely odd, I thought he'd done very well at Barcelona.

Sounds like it has something to do with non-EU player quotas and Guangzhou are probably going to pay a huge amount of money for his loan and possible permanent transfer.

Unai Emery: Arsenal head coach wants five captains in his team
ttps://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44813124

He can have the Wales captain, Curacao captain and former Ajax captain if he'd like.

Burnley have done well to get Gibson for 15m.

When we seemed interested in him it was assumed he'd cost a minimum of 25m
