Gotta make sure we keep Aguero and toure quiet.

Think they account for half their goals don't they?

Aguero is injured, Toure has gone to the Africa Cup of Nations.

No doubt he'll score the winner again, and then go off injured.

I think Aguero is one of those players that needs a few games to get back to the swing of things. He might not even start the game.

But Kompany and Dzeko are supposed to be returning as well.

I believe all the Everton injured are 50-50 for the next game, which means 4 -5 weeks for most of them. I never believe a word Roberto says about his injuries and their prospects for playing.

As I've said in my wonderful OP which no one has liked yet *cough* unappreciative, up yourselves, closet Kopite wankers! *cough* that Toure and Aguero account for almost half their goals this season so if there's a time to play them then this is it.

Great observation Shogs!

However, I'm intepreting this as a few of their player are going to break their scoring duck this weekend. Damn you Everton :-(

Few people expect us to win this one, so if I was Bobby I'd save the good guys for the West Ham reply, which is more winnable and also leads to another winnable 4th round game.
Had we lost to West Ham, and then lost this one, that would have been six defeats in a row in all competitions, and racked up the pressure. However the West Ham draw breaks that trend and eases the pressure a little.
Maybe that is why I am not a football manager, but if Bobby picks this team on Sat.....?

Could not disagree more we need to field the strongest possible 11 and have a go.

Maybe that is the strongest 11 at the moment, sure they'll have a go.
Bring on Lukaku later, COYB!

Facing up to a few home truths and the return of some fighting spirit has cleared a little air. If we keep improving we can really trouble City right now, it certainly isn't a forgone conclusion by any means.

In a world ruled by irony Barry is nearly guaranteed to score in this, hopefully it will be the winner!

Agreed.

Even if we don't win this (or the replay) we need to look like we're improving.

The best chance of that happening is if we keep as settled a side as possible.
