Did you see the way that arrogant fucker Adrian threw his gloves off behind him AS he was taking his run up for the penalty.

The gamesmanship he was allowed to get away with in that whole shoot-out was just like the Dutch keeper in the World Cup.

Yet when Joel was trying to gain the psychological advantage over his opponent, the ref warned him that he would get sent off.

Fucking refs.

Best player in the first half by a mile!

Don't care, he is a total fucking liability.

Seriously gutted.
In N.Ireland with work in some hotel - friend streamed it on face time to my phone (better than a lot of normal streams) you just knew that when Robles picked the ball up he'd be cursed. Worried that that'll set him back again :(

Imagine the sheer uplift in confidence and morale if we had won that?

We haven't had one single break this season at all.

I still feel sick rom put that chance wide. Won't criticise any of the 10 that played the game out though.

Barkley was poor, McGeady was stupid and it's safe to say we've been robbed by the ref (again) with that mirallas pen. RM really needs to start kicking up a fuss about these cunts, it's every single game.

Hello lads.

Made it home from work in time to watch the penalties, get angry and throw things in front of my kids.

Didn't see any of regular or extra time.  I just want to know if it was a good team performance (unlike all the dross in December) in the same vein as the Man City game.  Are there still signs of a turnaround.

I agree that the ref was poor, but they should've had a pen too.

That Ashley Young game, no that was gutting.
Still dislike that knobber and, who was that other toerag who gobbed off to our fans that night?

Can only see plus sides from this game, out of the cup but less games and still in Europe.
Superb play by the entire team and if they keep that up progress up the league and in the Europa too :)

How many times did the other keeper do it without warning too.

Such a gutting end after a heroic display, especially after McGeady was sent off. Robles was great tonight, as were the rest of the players, but I cannot understand his thinking with his penalty.

The shoots of recovery are certainly there though and, providing we get an early goal against what will be a horrendously defensive West Brom next Monday, I can see us getting that victory we desperately crave.
