Too right he has to.
Sitting on his knees watching it go in isn't exactly great is it?
The minor deflection is irrelevant
i just think he has to do a little better, but just my opinion

How about the crowd of about 15 players he couldn't see through?

Um, ok  *maybe* he couldn't see through the crowd  - but as a goalkeeper if you can't see you should sit on your knees?

ps - i do appreciate you defending him because some of the mindless criticism our players have been getting online this season has been doing my head in and usually I avoid joining in, but that was very poor IMO
