Mirallas definitely out of favour, convenient injury for Gibson allows Barry to be shoehorned straight back in.

Bones of glass.

Now that Pienaar is in the squad, once Rom is match fit, perhaps Mirallas will join Distin in roster purgatory?

Gibson is definitely injured? A real shame for both that and the fact that Barry gets to walk straight back in. However (if true) unfortunately it underlines for next season it's ultimately very difficult to rely on Gibson.

Unfortunately he always is and even when he isn't we don't seem to get more than about an our out of him.

Happy with the balance today. Big chance for Kone to step up to the mark, and show he can be a more than useful option for us. Needs to take chances like today, because he won't get too many more (whether that's harsh or not).

I don't think this side is balanced at all. Lennon the only winger. They have gone with two up front and Wanyama and Schneiderlin in the middle. Tough ask for us in store today I think

Don't think Pelle has scored since they beat us 3-0 around Christmas.

Out of the options available to us (Pienaar aside obviously), Ossie is the best equipped to play the left sided role, and link up with Baines.

Osman has been more than adequate as a wing option.

I would have gone with Mirallas on the left and Lennon on the right. We will see.

I don't expect to see Mirallas again unless we are desperate.  Saddens me, as he was once my favourite player.
