2 'first halves' like last time out and we have more than a good shout.

easy to see how there could be lots of goals, or none.

looking forward to it.

I'm remembering Brian Clough and the way he pulled a pile of average players together and won the European Cup (twice). I think apart from Trevor Francis they were all bargain buys. I'd have to google to confirm that, but, going from memory, I've seen this all before. Obviously Shogun and Jimmy have got me in a mystic meg mood. :eh:

Hence why I was tempted to google it. ;D

Didn't they spend big on Shilton?

I think they did yeah. But you get the drift, they were not real heavy spenders, and he did win the Title twice, and got through to the European Cup Semis with Derby County. (Had to google that). :)

An injury to their main striker and their king assist maker on the wing and you have to ask where their threat is coming from....

If that happens it's highly unlikely, but there they are, and we play them Saturday. OK, fair comment from any who disagree with what I said about them as possible Champions. They're still a big challenge on Saturday. The title is another matter.

I think Lxxx was pointing out a slight similarity between them and our good selves.

I know you can't predict what will happen week to week in the Prem this season, but we've got a mental January coming up. Really need to be picking up some wins from this, Newcastle and Stoke if we possibly can. 7 points would be nice minimum from those games.

In this little stretch of 9 games we have I was expecting 20 points. I thought that wasn't asking to much of them. But so far, 6 games into this stretch of 9, we have 10 points... So it's looking like we won't even come close to 20......

You keep saying this on lots of threads, but pretty much every single team in the world relies, to a certain extent, on two or three players, and if they both or all were injured they would suffer.
I have to return some videotapes.

While you can't call it a "must win" given the time of the season, given our recent results if we have any sort of aspiration to challenge for the top 4 we need momentum soon and I think we need the confidence that beating a team who are flying high can bring with it.

So for me, we really need to get over the line for once and win this game (and frankly probably the next few coming up this month in order to really set up a challenge). However both of those things are a fairly tall order as things stand.

I'm just hoping I don't look like this on Saturday.
