Michael Essien

Met him at a party I was working at once, when he was at the peak of his powers. Asked him tongue-in-cheek if he'd consider signing for Everton and he laughed it off.

A few years later he was all set to join on a deadline day loan before Real swooped in at the last minute!

If Roberto was a member of this forum he could add Aidan McGeady.

Roberto thought he was a great player, and he has vanished, (he says hopefully).

Mario Jardel. Scored a ridiculous amount of goals then turned up at Bolton about 10 stone overweight.

Haha good post.

didn't really vanish but at 18-19 Micah Richards was incredibly rated, and played a lot in their title winning season of 2011-2012 but has never really lived up to the hype.
