If Niasse can't get on for more than 5 minutes tomorrow then it's looking pretty fucking bleak for him already.

Assuming Rom is out like.

Gonna be the worst atmosphere of the season there tomorrow I reckon.  Flat from the start and toxic beyond belief if we concede.

It would be better and far less toxic if half the side were injured . No excuses needed if you have to field a weak team against an in form Southampton .

Not quite sure what your point is here?

I think his point is if we play a very weakened side and lose then the backlash will be far less.

He wouldn't need to struggle to find an excuse if he was without Barkley , Lennon , Lukaku , Baines , Cleverley etc . The fans would realise we were up against it from the outset and be a little more understanding than if he fielded a full strength team and lost . If not towards Martinez then at least towards the players on the pitch .

Be funny if we lose.

Kinda hope we lose instead of draw tbh.

I want us to be winning 3-0 but then lose 4-3 with a penalty in the last minute.  Would be absolutely hilarious.

That game would be brilliant to not read the matchday thread until after the match.

Really hoping we see dowell for a bit. But as the article says, we have no choice but to put a few young lads on the bench.

Agreed w/ Dowell. He's earned the game time; too good for the U21s.
