Wonder if by funding, he means the deal with the council?

Anderson came out and said the club are looking elsewhere now.
Doesn't mean we wont return to the council, but it seems it is no longer our 'plan a'

So what funding is going ahead as per bills comments?

Is it ring fenced or should I watch this space re: funding
I knew that someday I was going to die, and I knew that before I died, two things would happen to me. That number one; I would regret my entire life, and number two; that I would want to live my life over again.

Bit of both to be honest @brap2 .

First and foremost, the £280m loan from central government via local government was only ever going to cover 50% (at best) of the cost. So we were already out and about looking for the rest.

You can read Andersons comments one of two ways:

1) Everton are negotiating hard ball with the council and are using this to gain lenciency/free-passes somewhere else in the relationship. (e.g. planning permissions).
2) Whilst looking elsewhere for the rest of the funding, we have found out it is a more attractive proposition tan first thought and we can do it at a reasonable cost without the council and the associated delays all the nobheads will make the council endure.

First option definitely has the air of "ring-fenced money".
The second option would go someway to explain why we are a few months behind where I would expect though.

There’s something about him just throwing out ‘the funding is going ahead’ that I don’t like.

Should he be saying that? Unless I’ve misinderstood we are very much in the ‘we’re not sure which way we’re going yet’ area re:funding.

Is it going ahead bill? which one, what are the details?

Smells of kenwright playing to the audience and spouting shite imo. Ala ringfence / watch this space.

Yeah, i have no doubt we are in the final stages of sorting out the funding.
I am also in no doubt that any serious business man wouldn't be telling the national media that.

Email from the club re. the public consultation. Hadn't realised it can be done online, and also interesting news about next summer.

This week we will be embarking on one of the most important processes in our 140-year history.

Thursday 15 November marks the start of our formal public consultation, which will lead to the submission of planning applications for a new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock and the chance to leave a positive lasting legacy at Goodison Park.

The formal public consultation is the second most important milestone for The People’s Project after securing the land from Peel (Land and Property) in November 2017.

As an Evertonian your support is vital. We aim to demonstrate the backing for our proposals and show how the Club and entire city region can benefit from a new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock and a legacy project at Goodison Park. Consultations like this are a required and important part of the process when making planning applications for large developments.

Thousands of Evertonians have already taken part in the engagement activities we have held and the feedback to the surveys and our workshops have helped form our 11 Key Principles for the development as well as shape Dan Meis’ thinking on stadium designs. This stage is different from the engagement to date - it will form part of the evidence required in our planning application, so it's important all Evertonians take part.

A second formal public consultation will be carried out in the summer of 2019 where we will consult on the proposed detailed designs for the stadium site and the outline of what our plans for Goodison Park will look like.

The People’s Project website contains information on the consultation activities and will be the place to visit in future to find out more about our plans at Bramley-Moore Dock and Goodison Park.

To share your views and support the Club’s ambition to move to a new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock visit one of our public consultation locations across the city region. Click here to find the nearest location to you.

If you are unable to attend The People’s Project public consultations in person you can get involved by visiting www.peoples-project.co.uk and filling in a consultation survey from 11am on Thursday 15 November.

Thank you for your continued support
