But surely adding these seats into the initial build will be far cheaper than trying to extend later. A much larger part of our income is prize money/tv money and hospitality. General Attendances only really matter to us fans and as an aesthetic for tv these days. So the cost of not selling these seats is negligible really.

and that's kind of the point.  Why pay £20m to add those extra seats if nobody but the fans - who have bought the other seats - are the only ones who care anyway?

Build a 41,000 seater stadium and fill it every week at inflated prices makes much more financial (and purely financial) sense than building a 60,000 seater which is empty

I picked 41,000 seater because that's what Juventus built while still winning league titles and then going on to buy Cristiano Ronaldo.  The Stadio del Alpi had a capacity of 69,000.

Original PE was just a money thing wasn't it?

Was only 2 years before that we had some sub 20,000 league gates.

So while yes, I agree it was short sighted I can also see why a conservative approach was taken.
"someone" said we didn't deserve a bigger stand. The stand build itself was entirely funded by the grants from the football league following the move to all-seater stadiums.

Everton could have put money towards a bigger stand but the fans didn't deserve it apparently

Be one of the images Meis used to get the contract. If it's been used before then it's not part of the designs.

Designs are still being worked on

And besides where are those trees coming from?

Well Anderson specifically said brick.
Yeah.... Anderson said.....

There's an issue with that statement usually

I know there's a lot of bluster to him, but I can well imagine the use of brick in the design given the area and the fact we need to work with UNESCO.

I do know that UNESCO have been satisfied with what they have been told, that's true

did mine on the back of the truck and got a goodie bag (after asking for it, like) which has a nice little stress ball, a water bottle, a flag and a sticker in it

Worries me about this survey, is what is says at the end, are you an Everton fan, Liverpool fan, Tranmere fan or not a football fan at all. Reckon there will be an amazing amount of  non football fans, raising objections about this, you can hazard a guess most of those " non footballing fans " will be Liverpool fans.
That's why I feel it is imperative that as many Evertonians as possible do this survey.
Everyone needs to do it

All complaints will be looked into and investigated if someone says their postcode is in Ormskirk but they complain they can't fly their kites at BMD anymore then it'll be flagged as inappropriate.

Worth a read https://andycostigan.wordpress.com/2018/11/18/sixty-grand-sixty-grand-bramley-moore-dock/
Pretty much just says it should be a 60k capacity because he wants it to be and because other clubs will have bigger grounds than us.

Meis teasing again on Twitter, responding to the Bramley Moore pub account

I'm not arsed either way. He's the architect that is working with the club. Will admit that when he first started speaking to everyone who tweeted him that he seemed a bit too friendly, almost paid for friendly, but seems he just likes twitter.

I'm just not seeing why anyone is getting excited over it. As you say, there's roadworks, and we know there will be more building work there in the future. It's just a pleasant tweet, keeping in touch as you say.
