But all you're doing is focusing on the negatives. There is not one iota of positiveness in your outlook for the future.
The club has stated it's intent to redevelop Goodison into an area that will serve the community. Be that a community centre with green area, youth club(s), the expansion of the Free Everton School, it has yet to be determined. Turning their back on the community they are not. We are widely acknowledged to be a club that puts community first. Look at the amazing work our charity does. The head of which is now on the board of directors. Do you think she will have no influence?!
We've been over and over the redevelopment of Goodison. You claim no feasibility study has been carried out. Well maybe not publicly, but I guarantee the club have looked into it internally. How could they not? You only need eyes in your head to see that the footprint available around Goodison simply does not allow for the expansion that we need. And to expand that footprint is going to be both ridiculously expensive, as well as cause massive upheaval for local people and businesses.
I'll grant you that I'll be amazed the club haven't conducted a feasibility study, but the way board of directors are today you'll forgiven my tendential fatalism in surmising they probably ignored it anyway if it came back as 'possible' which it possibly could of considering the guy who designed Liverpool One thought we could do it.
@Jamokachi Don't get me started on the Free School. Criticizing that got one of our fans banned. I personally prefer Comprehensive Education not academies, free or private schools. But sticking to the football/stadium side of stuff....
People call me romantic when all's i see from them is cognitive dissonance, selective blindness and raw anger based on an overton window. Outside of that window is any questions about how utterly stupid it is to ask for all the plans, maybe they wont turn out as promised? This is EXACTLY what happened to West Ham. Particularly because they where doing it with Newham Council, just like we are with Liverpool City Council.
I'm happy to look at it the other way around as well ie Sheffield Wednesday. In a home they love but its a shithole and they are languishing in The Championship. I'm not saying moving will be a dystopia but I cant see it getting any better. Modern Football and our fans seeming lack of complaints about it do my head in.
