Mori and Robles aren't good enough.

It's  not the massive mistakes it's just the sheer number of small needless errors that add up.

Robles passing the ball out 20 yards from goal instead of wellying it up the pitch lead to the first corner which he was rooted to the line for when it was 3 yards out which ultimately lead to the the equaliser as an example.

Deulofeu is in that category too.

Yes he set up the goal but everything else was shocking.

Mori is too weak for the PL at CB. Small players like Musa bully him out of the way and he doesn't have the pace to make up for this.

What an absolutely shite season.

But everyone's cool with 7th and Uefa Cup aren't they?

That'll keep our best players. Deffo.  :headbang:

Who is happy with it? Now bore off to a Celtic forum until you can come back with something new. We're all disappointed and no one on here is content with seventh place

Crap result, bad second half performance and we are out of a cup again. Again it showed how weak we are right now. Koeman played Davies, he played 4-4-2 and it still wasn't enough. I hope Lookman is boss because our wide options are frustrating as fuck

Everyone delighted with the prospects of finishing 7th.

Yeah that'll look ace to prospective signings and the fact we are not in the FA Cup doesn't help either.

Ah well lets sign a few yard dogs in the transfer window to delight our fans again. Lap up the mediocrity.

Pissed off. Hurts to be this fucking ordinary.

Koeman's record for us in the cups this season has been shit. Beat by Norwich in the early rounds, beat by Leicester in the 3rd round.

Was he any better at Southampton?

No, it was tragic.

Seemed to lose to Crystal Palace at home every season in one of the cups. Thumped 6-1 by them lot. Lost to Sheffield United in the QF of the league cup.

I assume you are happy with Delefeou for Holgate

Answering now not so sure despite the set up for the equaliser.

Have to take it on the chin. Nothing we can do about it now. I'm pinning some faith on the transfer window giving me some excitement. There's little left now other than watching the reconstruction of our team, club and squad. There's always getting into Europe which is still a realistic target. :(

Start of the season most of the threads on aims for the manager this year was for mid table. Instead of just criticizing me ad-hominem - why do you or nobody else actually answer the question?

Our fans are satisfied with mid table/7th place and will let a manager off the hook for it just because he is on 5m a year and the owner off because he's going to impoverish the Walton area and fuck off to prime land in the City Centre.

It's the most gutting thing to go out in the 3rd round. The whole of the rest of the season with draws, excitement and hope, and we are sat outside looking in through a window.

Both cups out at the first shout. Bollox.

Who will join a mid table club out of all cup competitions vs teams in cup comps AND vs teams who are in the CL?

It's unlikely we'd win the Cup so there's no reason to write 7th off as some sort of off putting factor for new players.

It's obviously be better to win the cup but, evidently, only one team actually manages it.

Therefore finishing as high up as possible is vitally important.

Writing off the season is the worst thing that we can do.

Disappointing but we will have to move on and salvage what we can this season.

Hopefully Walsh and the board are working very hard to bring in more new players.

No one is delighted or settling for 7th. But we are realistic in the fact that when you look at our squad and finances, and how the last 3 years we were slowly ruined by a manager and we have to fix that, then 7th is about right for this season.

No player is going to sign for someone based on whether they're in the cup or not.

Season over in the first week in January.

Fucking great.
