We are more likely to play well WITHOUT him hoofing it aimlessly

The idea that we can't win without Phil Neville bemuses me a bit. Given his age, we better had find a way sooner rather than later.

I don't think the captain's role on the pitch is that significant, there are 11 players who for the most part know what they should be doing and all have the will to win.

We can play well without Phil Neville, so we can win without Phil Neville. The real problem this season has been individual errors and certain players not playing to their potential. That said I think Neville is a great club representative, for me he just doesn't need to be playing all the time for us to win.

I think we should take a leaf out of Blackburns books and have a club and team captain.

Neville seems to be good to have around the club but he shouldn't be the first name on the team sheet.

Give him the title of club captain and assign one of our regulars the armband for the team - it's still a nod to what he has done during his time with us without turning the fans on him by playing him week in week out when we have a better starting 11 without him.

Trying to be optimistic about this one. Hopefully the crowd are up for it and an upset can kick-start our season.

I am hoping Jagielka's solid performance for England transfer to Everton now.  He needs to put in a monster performance to give us a good chance.

I think its goona finish 1-1. i just hope the stories of rodwell are'nt true. it would be nice to see him skinning evans again. I don't think fergie will start with rooney, it'll be berbatov and hernandez, also whats the betting of a rooney red card if things are'nt going his way and the crowd is on his back?

Rodwell and Saha out (Rodwell for up to 3 months it says on the OS) but Neville is back.

http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/2010/09/10/rodwell-and-saha-out

I wonder if Moyes will go super defensive:

Howard

Hibbert Jagielka Distin Baines

Neville Heitinga

Arteta Pienaar

Fellaini

Cahill

With the current available options I'd like:

Howard

Hibbert Jagielka Heitinga Baines

Fellaini

Coleman Osman Arteta Pienaar

Cahill

Unfortunately I can't see anything other than the continuation of our poor start.

We have no firepower that Utd can't handle, and I think our only chances will come from set plays... unfortunately our set pieces at present have been woeful at best! How many did we get against Villa?

I see us losing 2-0 I'm afraid to say.
